You DO realize that you don't have to leave the US altogether to live among reasonable adults who are capable of self government and who tend to respect the consensus that comes out of scientific process?

It's pretty easy to see where that is on a map these days - just look at state-by-state vaccination rates. Yes, housing is more expensive here, but the jobs pay more, too - so it balances out.

All that said, if I had to pick a place to move to, it would be New Zealand (I actually tried to emigrate there ~40 years ago, but at 28 I was too old to get through the points system they were using then. Rules have changed, but I'm settled now.) I'm on the Left here in the US, in NZ, that made me center-Right. They've a unicameral government setup to get things done, compared with ours that's built to let a minority stop everything.

Yes, there are issues between Maori and Pakeha, but it's certainly nothing like here. French model public health; IMO a better system than the one in Canada
