…still maintaining C++ applications built on MFC and the Win32 API

Wow. I wrote a few MFC apps back in the 80s — had to re-write the message-pump code inside MFC as it had issues. That was only 30 years ago. At the time, I was also writing (and complaining about) code using NETBIOS, which was about 10–15 years out of date.

This definitely has me beat.

BTW, any MFC developers out there? Did they ever fix that message pump? I moved on to networking/systems work in the 90s…
