Probably off topic, but something I'd been puzzling over (apologies for the digression):
I heard mention of him firing a 'nail gun'. I suspect that what he was trying to use to break the bulletproof glass was actually a powder actuated stud gun (uses the force of a special cartridge to drive a steel pin - the stud - into things like concrete or rock - most sold these days use a solid piston, so the stud is pushed at relatively low velocity). The only reason I'm aware of these things is that my dad was in the fasteners business when I was growing up.
The idea of this guy using a nail gun (like for framing) to fire at people seemed kind of odd.
