At least one has evil results. Fructose goes to the liver via hepatic portal vein where it's turned into fat; that process (DNL) is implicated in NAFL disease, and I'm seeing hints that this process is associated with an elevated particle count of apo-lipoprotein-b, which, in turn is a major risk factor for arteriosclerosis. And if that's not enough, the NIH has a clinical study ongoing looking at correlations between DNL and insulin resistance.

Saturated fats? I haven't seen any evidence of that - If you've got links to studies where the actual numbers (not the summaries) bear this out, I'd be very curious to see them. And I'd point out that fish are animals; fats from them are high in n-3 PUFAs (good for the immune system) .

Disclaimer: I'm a noob at this stuff, currently trying to understand the lipid transport system and peripheral insulin resistance. (look at my bio: about all I've got going for me here is reading comprehension)
