Kyocera makes a peeler that has a rotatable head; you can set it for vertical push or pull - or horizontal. The blade is ceramic so it lasts a long time. (I can sharpen knives but not peelers or mandolins - so I usually go with ceramic for those.)
That said, I'm team vertical - I just handle it like a paring knife. I do sometimes use horizontal, if I want to lay say a carrot on the block, get lots of thin peels for a garnish or salad. Any quantity and the mandolin comes out.
Finally, I'd add both a bench scraper and silicone 'spoonlula' to your list.
