Those of us at standing desks are not locked into a particular position or repetitive motions (other than typing — and that’s far from 100% of the time).
I’d be curious to see active standing compared with active sitting. For instance, I spend most of my standing desk time on a wobble board, although I have to admit that the reason for that is more working on my balance than anything else — but I find that, when I’m not typing (most of the time) my position is not at all static.
