I'd thought that was Orwell. But a number of his books were allegories about Communism, so he might have borrowed it. At least part of the time, he was living at a very low rung in society (read his 'down and out') so he knew what non-Communist life was like from the bottom - and he still saw how much worse that could be.

Back to your prediction. Way to stick your neck out! I'd be amazed if he was around in a couple of months. We'll know when the Russian networks all start playing Swan Lake on repeat.
