That's what SSBNs are supposed to do. I found that particular Ohio a bit surprising as one that carried cruise missiles might be more appropriate for response to a battlefield nuke. Maybe it just had to do with which boat was where(?)

Also, there's the 101st Airborne in Romania. As I understand it, they (and the 82nd) are fast-response units with CBN capabilities.
