Apparently one artist has exclusive use - and that's led to something called "Black 2.0". I ran across it when looking to get some vantablack paint to coat the insides of camera lens shades with - Amazon has Black 2.0, which is for sale to anyone but Anish Kapoor (that one artist mentioned above).
As a side note, a few decades ago I had a rear-projection TV (anybody remember those?) Covering the inside surfaces with duvetine (a black cloth with similar properties) markedly improved contrast (blacker blacks).
