There’s an interesting (and super common-at least in Normandy) construction in French that the textbooks don’t seem to cover (disclosure: I’m talking about the books three decades ago — and I may have just missed it).

It goes [name thing/person], [phrase about what was named] For example: La chienne, elle est la.

Similar in other Latin languages?
