There's also granola. For the last few years, I've been making granola from thick rolled oats, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, vanilla; a touch of honey and a few raisins for sweetness. It's shockingly easy to do, and, once made, requires no cooking time in the morning.

Speaking of cooking time, you realize that rolled oats are nearly-instant if you have access to a microwave?

Also, speaking as someone who once thought haggis started out as some kind of practical joke - it's pretty good that way, too.
