There are HUGE regional variations.

Have a look at Colin Woodard's "American Nations", or read some of what he's shared here on Medium https://medium.com/@colin_woodard to get a handle on the different cultures. I live in New England. I've never been to Scandinavia, but, from what I've read, New England isn't just the most similar part climactically and geologically, but also culturally.

Except we don't say 'yes' on the inhale. :-)
