There are apparently protests ongoing in multiple cities in Russia.

Thinking about why Russia might invade Ukraine, the reasons, given modern weapons, don't make a lot of sense (at least not to me).

Ukraine is a Russian speaking nation recently turned democratic - and the invasion might be due to Putin's concern that the Russian people might look at it as an example to follow.

I'm using 'concern' rather than 'paranoia', because I think it might be well-placed.
