The very LAST thing you should do is trust LastPass. They had a breakin; took them nearly a year to inform users that it was time to change their passwords. Not super surprising for a company that's been acquired by private equity.
The best description I've ever heard of PE likens it to the movie Goodfellas. The gangsters acquire a store, keep ordering merchandise from suppliers, never intending to pay. When the suppliers stop extending credit they burn the building down, collect the insurance money.
I was a LP user from the start, started looking for an alternative when I learned they'd been acquired by PE. The best 'fit' for me was Bitwarden, but there are other very good password managers...
