They seem incapable of getting away from both-sides-ism, particularly when covering 'murky' subjects. I’d *guess* it’s an effort for balance, and not to be found wrong in retrospective.

At least they're clear on whether a claim wasn't elsewhere corroborated (but that's a stupidly low bar).
