As I understand it, "The Beast" is a heavily armored limousine that is used for the president's planned movements. For instance, it gets cargo-lifted to meet him when he/she flies overseas.

On the 6th, he was in an SUV (essentially an uprated version of the black "war wagons" the Secret Service uses - very likely the one he took a jaunt in to see his supporters back when he had Covid. Hutchinson's testimony albeit second hand makes more sense in that vehicle than "The Beast".
