Tesla has lost its technological edge to both the Koreans and the Chinese (Musk put a 'gigafactory' in China even though the price was training a cadre of technical workers who could then leave, work for / found competing Chinese companies).
Agreed that they're still decent cars*, but that doesn't mean people like me will buy. Maybe when it was the only EV and the Tesla network was the only way to reliably get a fast charge on a long trip.

*arguably a 'gigaforge' has the potential of building a better - in the sense of strength for weight- unibody vehicle, but any weight advantage disappears when you look at different battery technologies - and they're far from the leader there. They've also fallen behind in electric motor tech, but most people don't buy on something like that.
