FWIW, ginger, peppermint, marsh mallow, gentian, and senna seeds are all available online. Depending on where you live, some of these will do fine outdoors, the rest indoors in pots. We have a big patch of mixed mint planted around the compost bin, as the critters that like to burrow in there don't like the mints.
