Stepping aside for a moment from the existential threat a nuclear armed collapsing Russian Federation presents to the rest of the world, my heart is broken for the people living there who feel like you and your friends but are trapped there. It was hard watching what happened to pensioners in the 90s. I'm expecting this to be quite a bit worse as there are no more leaders with good intentions like Gorbachev who did his absolute best to steer his Russia to Euro-style socialism.
