Solid state batteries and ultra-capacitors for regenerative braking seem to be the news here.
The best explanation of solid state lithium batteries I could find was on harvard.edu - but I'm not completely convinced that all the issues are solved.
That said, I don't expect there to be enough use of these cars to reach a really large number of recharges. FWIW, I had a conversation with a Ferarri owner. After we got past the respective "what's your home track?" questions, I asked "what's involved in rebuilding the top end for those?" (The Testarosa isn't desmodromic but otherwise looks to be quite complex, and I wanted to know.) the response: "Nobody puts that kind of miles on one of these."
