Semi related: Peter Attia has recently released an interview with Jake Kushner (a pediatric endocrinologist specializing in T1DM). They cover how high insulin does damage as well as glycation damage from high glucose.
As far as an earlier eating window goes, Dr Panda does a great job of laying it all out. Link is to the video on YouTube, but if you've subscribed to the FmF podcast, it's there as audio-only.
As someone not eating an early meal, I take that lack of sensitivity into account with meal composition (moderately low carb, no simple sugars at all) - and hope that that's good enough.
Back to Attia: there are very detailed show notes available to subscribers, but Peter does a weekly newsletter that goes into whatever study had caught his attention - and anybody can sign up for that...
Disclaimer: I'm a subscriber both at FmF and Attia.
