Remember that, although smoking increases the risk, it isn't just smokers that get lung cancer. There appears to be a genetic risk. If you've lost blood relatives to lung cancer, you might be susceptible as well - make sure your PC knows and you get screened regularly.

I lost a very good friend some years back to lung cancer. Nature girl, never smoked, fit, only ate whole foods, never saw her drink so much as a sodairst sign was a painfully enlarged lymph node, which turned out to be stage 4 (metastasized) lung cancer.

She had a grandparent and a couple of uncles who had died of lung cancer.
