Private pilot here. I'm pretty confident... that I could NOT land one of the big birds. Maybe level flight. I'd be lost on the instrument panel.

That said, back when my MIL was alive, my wife and I would often fly to Honolulu, pick up mom, then the three of us would fly to an outer island. Smaller planes, single pilot - and I usually ended up in the right hand seat. I wasn't qualified on those particular airframes or anything with twin engines, but probably could have landed (excepting maybe Hana). Very glad that never came up. Even my radio-fu wasn't that great (usual ride was a Pitts Experimental).
