Possibly related trivia: GPS (and probably Glonass) satellites have their time regularly updated as the way GPS in general requires very accurate timestamps. I've read that the clock drift that is being corrected is due to relative motion (which is nowhere near light speed). Makes me wonder about relative time between say, earth and mars - and whether that would vary based on where each was in its orbit.
