...Our Primal Ancestors ...There’s plenty of evidence the lucky ones lived a long life,
So share some evidence. For example fossilized evidence of 70+ year old skeletons out of the Stone Age.
The key technology that enabled at least a few people to live into their 70s was, wait for it... dentistry. We take it for granted now, but it was a big deal for potential lifespan.
I don't disagree that we should eat what we are evolved to eat, but every time someone (you, in this case) starts going on about 'primal ancestors' I end up disregarding whatever else you have to say.
They did not sit around munching on plants to keep them alive.
Really? I’d agree that they didn’t eat only plants; there’s plenty of evidence that they were omnivores, eating what was available. Catching/killing other animals — or finding carrion — isn’t all that simple and isn’t a guarantee of not starving. The key tech seems to have been fire, and applying heat to food, making it more digestible — which meant that sitting around all day chewing tough vegetation was no longer necessary, making the time for hunting available. It also meant that we no longer needed to devote the same energy to digression, possibly enabling selection pressure based on intelligence.
Maybe stick to “here’s what works for me — and it could work for you, too”. And leave referencing “Primal Ancestors” out of it.
