There’s evidence that Akkermansia is a source of GLP-1. Possibly a don't-care in a situation of food scarcity (the Hadza) but very much a positive in our current food superabundance. It's also super difficult to culture as it isn't just anaerobic but just a few O2 molecules can wipe out a colony.
