Of the microbial metabolites mentioned by that study, I'd be most concerned about trimethylamine N-oxide (from other reading, that can come from consuming choline or carnitine - and particularly from synthetic choline supplements) , which gets turned into TMAO - and that has a definite link with CVD. Fortunately, there now is a serum test for it. If you have less efficient methylation and are trying to up your choline intake (methyl donor) maybe consider asking for that test the next time you have a physical exam.
Downside is that it might not be covered by your insurance if you have no signs of CVD. The US healthcare system is very broken.
