Agreed 100%. The only time I go full manual is because I'm in a situation where doing that is easier than trying to outguess the camera's programming (e.g. flash photography with variable scene lighting).

Also agreed on shooting weddings as 'the pro'. They can be fun if you're just the guest with decent camera gear (just did that yesterday for one of the kids who grew up in my community - had a great time).
