Of course. There's a difference between trying your very best to do the right thing for yourself and all the people you are responsible for and getting hit with this - and lying to people about the severity, persuading people to do the wrong things, pretending it doesn't exist for you and then getting hit.

That said, I do have some sympathy for Trump. The man is very broken. He was raised in the church of Norman Vincent Peale and has never grasped that there is a reality that is not changeable by his desires.

He's a classic tragic figure (someone brought down by their own flaws). I despise the things he's done, but we've all been forced to be in the middle of a Greek tragedy.
