Obelisk trivia: those tall monuments were common-ish in ancient Egypt. During the Hellenistic period there were quite a few Greek tourists in Egypt (Herodotus being one of them). The Greeks dubbed those tall pointy structures 'obelisks', which meant 'meat skewers'.
More on topic, I'm a little surprised that circular RNA would fold into a rod like shape, but meat skewers do have a handle on one end, so if the folded shape has a wide end, 'obelisk' (in the Greek sense of 'meat skewer') still works. :-)
