Now that I am trying to shop once every few weeks, I buy 4 or 6 avocados, put all but two in the fridge to keep them from starting to ripen. The two not in the fridge go on the counter to ripen, the ones in the fridge come out in stages. All this so we don’t have them all ripen at the same time, which means some go bad (only two of us).
I’ll stop bothering when the pandemic’s over.
