None the less, Canada needs to start preparing for swarms of Americans that just want to get out of Dodge when things go bad.
I don't expect them to - but there needs to be some contingency planning. If it does go bad in the US, there's going to be a miles-long backlog of people waiting to get processed before they cross. And that concentration of non-MAGAts may be a tempting target to our less rational neighbors.
I'd suggest a controlled-access area on the Canadian side of the border (like the areas around the Chunnel in France). People still have to wait to be processed - but it makes sense to have them wait on Canadian soil.
