Non-Christian here.
I am struck by the number of people (and organizations) claiming to be Christian, but not acting as Christians. I've met some people who follow their Christ's teachings - and they're pretty wonderful people. Sadly, they seem to be in a minority.
Probably TMI: I was raised as a 'nothing', but encouraged to 'seek'. After learning about many different religions and philosophies, I found myself most to home with Epicureanism (which is more a philosophy / way of life than a 'religion'). It was seen as a competitor by the early Christians, so they turned the meaning of 'Epicurean' into 'loves fine food', but it's not at all that; it's more a way of considering things like gods and afterlife as irrelevant.
