Nikon guy here.

If that's you, too, check out Thom Hogan's eManual for whichever model you're using. Beyond useful - the manual Nikon should have shipped with the camera.

>>Capture in RAW+Jpeg

I used to do this, but have been raw-only for five or six years now. The reason is that I'm trying to capture as much scene dynamic range as possible - and the approach to exposure for that differs between raw and JPEG.

For post, I use DxO PhotoLab - in that app it's very easy to make a couple of selections for the group of shots overall, export as JPEG, and I have raw + jpeg in a couple of minutes.

I also take a quick look with FastRawViewer before I open PL. If you're raw-only as well, check out the trial version - and the full version is cheap.
