You are projecting: Conservatives tend to be more fear based (look at your leader's reelection campaign for an example of at least trying to make people more fearful of the world). Agreed that there are personality differences between those who end up conservative and those who don't, and trying to change a conservative would be as unhelpful as gay conversion therapy. Not possible to turn someone into what they're not.
