Given the "great sort", I have to wonder just how many "undecided elements" there might be - and what proportion of them might be paying attention. The propaganda arm of the Republican party (Fox "News") has been doing all it can do distract (to the point of giving up commercial breaks in their counterprogramming). And I expect deliberate misinterpretations of the hearings (a la Bill Barr on the Mueller Report) in the short term.
