There are "virtual" network providers (MVNOs) that, basically, buy mobile connect minutes and data wholesale and resell it to you. I'm in New England, where Verizon has the best mobile network. I use Boom (a MVNO) to get minutes / data on that network. Works out to about $25/month for unlimited text/minutes and 1GB data.

I can't explain the spoiled produce. I'm in MA, and no issue here. Not even in the local TJs.

Agreed on bread. Many of us who want decent make our own. If you go that route, I like both Bob's Red Mill and King Arthur whole wheat flours. if you're lazy / don't have the time, check out bread machines. It's hard to beat waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread. Sourdough (fermented dough) bread is much healthier, but I don't usually find time to do it that way.
