Looking at US demographics, we're going to have a worker shortage into the 2030s. This is a problem for any employer, but particularly Amazon, given the way they burn through workers, and the physicality of the work. They're going to have no choice but automate absolutely as much as they can - and even then, there won't be as many willing workers as they need. We're going to see strong upward pressure in salaries for the next decade at least. Bad news for those of us on fixed incomes as that represents structural inflation - but excellent news for people in the job market.
