Landscape photographer here. There's a lot a photographer can learn from landscape paintings. For instance, there are a couple of ways perspective is shown in this painting. First is the converging lines (not something that a photographer has control of) but then repeated similar objects getting smaller and a bit of atmospheric perspective (look at how buildings in the distance - particularly the one at the end of the lane - are less distinct than the foreground). That’s how our eyes see it.
