I've tried to 'tolerate' natto as well. I don't really like the taste, but that slimy texture? Whether a result shows on her lipids panel or not (I'd expect one) there has been at least one RCT (with a fibrin, which nattokinase appears to be) in which adverse 'events' were lowered similar to statin therapy. Interestingly those were done before statins were standard-of-care, so it was fibrins vs nothing, not fibrins+statins vs statins alone. I see you've got a degree in nutrition so I'd expect you know how variable supplements can be, and will stick to USP, if that's possible.
