For some of us it wasn't so much the war being a place where we could die but that we were on the wrong damn side in a peasant's revolt against (IMO greedy / heartless) landlords. Ask anyone who was there as part of our officer corps how they felt about the people in power in Vietnam. Prepare for a long and fairly vehement reply.
