Islamic banking is interesting. Gotta love the idea that, instead of charging interest, bankers have to become, essentially, partners. Or do I have that wrong?
Non-Islamic person here, but I certainly see the ethical benefits, particularly around charity. I wish there weren't fundamentalists trying to drag everyone back to the 13th century so modern Islam could get a fair hearing in Western society. It's not fair now, and, after 9/11, it's hard to blame anyone for that.
