Interesting this would pop up in my 'for you' list, as I was looking at the methionine-homocysteine cycle earlier today.

I guess I'm conversation partner type 3 (knows enough to be dangerous)

3) Oh really? How does this play with homocysteine, methionine and methylation? I had NO idea that sulfur containing amino acids could affect ferroptosis, thought the issue was more around glutathione. I mention methylation as the B vitamins involved have to be methylated before they can be active in this cycle — and some of us have one of the MTHFR SNPs
