My only data is from service people who'd been there - and instructed to stay out of / away from (depending on who told me) Iraqi tanks that had been hit, reason being DU rounds (standard US penetrator at the time) - in spite of any desire for 'souvenirs'.

But then they had burn pits. Go figure.
