My currently most favorite post processing software (DxO PhotoLab) has currently come out with better-than-Topaz noise removal (if you count dynamic range as the number of stops between uselessly noisy and blown out, I get another two or three stops) - but it seems they're leveraging pre-demosaiced data (what's in most non-DNG raw files). But you mention that this new raw file contains already demosaiced data

I love the notion of a Profile Gain Table Map tag. I wish NikCanOny would adopt it.
