Indeed, was making a point. Still, we understand the mechanism of ivermectin - which indicates that it *might* be useful as an antiviral, but don't have the same for metformin. I'd *guess* that that has to do with what's amenable to in vitro study and what's too systemic for that simplification. But WTH do I know?
