In my opinion, the reason to get a ML camera is the real-time histogram(s). If you’re past needing that, then there’s no need.

But they’re cheaper to manufacture (a mirror ass’y needs precision adjustment, as do the PDAF units in the bottom of the camera) so long-term, ML is going to be the cheaper alternative for the same results. And removing mirror and PDAFs means there’s less to go out of adjustment.
