If you're tracking Dr. Patrick, you've probably read that the phospholipid form is more important for folks with APOE4 (the 'tight' bonds between brain capillary epithelial cells is even tighter - phospholipids are passed through using a different pathway).

There's some thought that those tighter bonds are the mechanism raising the risk of AD, but it's muddled as the astrocytes are on more of a 'hair trigger'.
