If you're thinking about moving to the US, consider that people are so unhappy with our healthcare system that when someone murdered the CEO of a major healthcare insurance company, a large number of people celebrated. (I did not but I certainly understood why they felt that way.)

That said, maybe wait two years, see if we've realized we've hit bottom - one sign will be one party aligning themselves with legal immigration - and re-evaluate.
