If you're into coffee, check out James Hoffman on youtube. I think you’ll like his stuff — especially his facial expressions when he tries questionable coffee. He has a very soothing presentation, something we all need — especially if we’ve just had a couple of litres of coffee (just sayin’). He’s the king of ‘hobby coffee’ (home made pro-grade — or at least attempted pro grade coffee).
I’m in New England, and have been getting my coffee from a roastery in Vermont. They roast with wood, a renewable, and they’re buying direct from coffee farmers in the DR, paying a fair market price for it (ever wonder why all those Guatemalans are headed to the US? Coffee price has a lot to do with it.). Oh — and the coffee is spectacular.
I drink about half the coffee you do, but go through about a pound of beans a week, as I like it moderately strong (25g coffee to 500ml water)
